Finding the right cleaning product for the job can sometimes be hard with all the choices out there. We all see the commercials that say 'our' product is better than 'their' product. But how do we know who is telling the truth?
Cleaning Up After Your Pets
Animals can make a huge mess of your house. They not only stain your carpets and furniture, but they make your house smell. If you have pets that continually make a mess, try Nature's Miracle. A user of the product stated in a review on ehow.com, "I don't usually endorse products, but this product is miraculous". Try it out and see if it works for you. If you don't want to use chemicals, after you clean up the mess, sprinkle some baking soda over it, vacuum, and that should take out the odors.

Cleaning Your Carpets
If you have a light-colored carpet, trying to keep it clean may be really hard. You can either rent or buy a steamer to periodically clean your carpet. If you rent, the cleaning products will generally come with the rental, if you buy, you will have to purchase the cleaning products on your own. You should first vacuum the carpet well trying to get the carpet as clean as you can. Spray the dirty areas with prespray and the extremely dirty areas with extra prespray. Fill the steamer with hot water according to the manufacturers instructions, and begin. Follow the directions for the machine to ensure you are using it properly. To remove the water from the carpet, pass over the area with the water spray on, and again with the water spray off. Feel the carpet, if it is very wet, do a water extraction pass over it again with the water spray off. Feel the carpet after the second pass, if it feels damp, you have extracted enough water. Stay off the carpet for a day. To help your carpet dry, open windows and use some fans. Make sure you don't use too much water as it can soak the wood underneath ruining it. To keep your carpet cleaner longer, steam it with a mixture of water and vineger (1 cup vinegar to 1 gallon water).
If you have ndentations in your carpet from furniture, put an ice cube on it, let it melt and then vacuum the area. The indentation should be gone.

Cleaning your Windows
If you have a house with a lot of windows, chances are you want them to look clean all the time. There are a lot of products that clean windows, but what if you've used them all and they leave streaks? One way to eliminate streaks is to wash your windows with newspaper or coffee filters instead of towels. There are many different mixtures that you can use to clean your windows. Some include using vinegar, ammonia, and baby shampoo.

Cleaning those Stubborn Surfaces
Cleaning surfaces with a texture can be near impossible. For example, the handle on the refrigerator has a slight texture to it. Trying to get it clean is awful. I have found that using the Magic Eraser by Mr. Clean will clean it with little to no effort at all. In fact, it will clean soap scum off shower walls and doors with hardly any scrubbing at all. The sponge-type product will work on just about anything to get it clean. I would recommend buying a package and trying it out.
